Objectives

• To motivate students to engage in studies, research and other activities linked to broader socio-economic and political issues with a view to becoming a creative and critical force within the college.
• To enable students to critically analyse their socio-economic, political, cultural context at micro and macro level, to help them to recognize the need and importance of justice as a vital element of transformation, to instil in them a deep and genuine concern for the oppressed and the marginalized and to inspire them to commit radically to the task of building a new and just society.
• To develop a pedagogy which empowers students to play a prophetic role in society – a pedagogy which draws inspiration from the Holy Scriptures and the lives of committed men and women who worked for a better world order.
• To help students evolve spirituality rooted in God, which integrates contemplation and action and promotes humanization through praxis: involvement-reflection-evaluation- action.
