ABOUT ENGLISH LITERARY ASSOCIATION

English Literary Association comes up with innovative tasks for the members of the club to sharpen their intelligence and vocabulary, as a part of their extracurricular activity. It conducts various inter and intra departmental activities for students, such as poetry writing, pick and speak, debates etc. The club screens English literary movies, plays and performances. It encourages students to approach Govt. Primary Schools to help those students learn English as a second language.

Vision
  • • To stimulate creative thinking and creative writing in the English Language.
Mission
  • • To make the students be comfortable with English during participation in the association activities.
Objectives
  • • To make students use English accurate and fluent.
  • • To nurture the taste of literature among the students.
  • • To instill, uphold and enhance the English literary skills.
  • • To develop skills required to facilitate the advancement of English Literature as a whole.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION


“Feedback and Program Report:-”


• Dated: 08.09.2022, Thursday, 11.15 Am – 1.15 pm, Venue at our St. Joseph College of Arts & Science for Women, Pagalpatty, Salem, celebrated Dr.Radha Krishnan sir birthday, that is day - teachers’ day. The program was well arranged and organised by our students of SJC.

• The program was approved by the management. On the day by 11.15 am the program was started with invite all the teachers by mode of creative special invitations, flowers and token of pen given by the students with welcome song and dance. Master of ceremony done by the students they are Angle, Monika, Srinathi and Kaviya sri. The welcome ceremony to SJC Auditorium, on the stage candies are lighted by all the faculties with the symbol of lighting the life of the students. Welcome Ceremony continues with the prayer song sung by the students’ team and the following lighting the lamp was lighted by all our dignitaries. Welcome address given by Manimegala and Sister Nivetha.

• The program was Inaugurated and Presidential Addressed by Most Respected Rev.Sister. Dr.A.Antony Maria Jansi, Secretary, St. Joseph College of Arts & Science for Women, Pagalpatty, Salem. Up next, about the teachers day and special speech given by the students with the memories of Dr.Radha Krishnan sir.

• Sweet memories are remember with the sweet, for that we made a cake cutting moment on that day by our respected secretary sister along with the hands Sr.T.Reeta Mary, Principal and Dr.A.AmeerBaig, Vice-Principal.

• Star shining the day continue with wishing song by the students and the dance team made a surprise of special songs and dance for the teachers’ happiness. Photo gallery of the faculties and college programs are highlighted and displayed through video session.

• The funny moments are very special for every day, that make the program with the games conducted for the teachers as follows, musical chair, Balloon blowing, ball throwing in basket, tower building and lucky drawn events.

• Unforgettable moments also shared by the students with distribution of gifts and mementos.

• Finally the program comes to an end with the vote of thanks by Sister T.Reeta Mary, Principal, St. Joseph College of Arts & Science for Women, Pagalpatty, Salem.

• In this program the entire college students, the team of teaching and non-teaching faculty members were participated and really enjoyed. The program was completed on that day successfully.
