ABOUT YRC & RRC


The college established Youth Red Cross in 2021. It is one of the wings of Indian Red Cross Society. It is a voluntary relief movement whose purpose is to protect life, health and to ensure respect for the human life. The regular activities of the club are— Blood Donation Camp, Blood Grouping and Hemoglobin Estimation, Practice of Health Habits and Awareness Programme on Health and Social Issues.

Vision
  • • The club aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times, all forms of humanitarian activities to minimize human suffering.
Mission
  • • To make the students understand and accept civic responsibilities at the time of disasters and emergencies.
  • • To encourage and extend the students involve them in humanitarian services to the society.
Objectives
  • • To offer First Aid Training to all the YRC volunteers.
  • • To develop leadership quality among the YRC volunteers.
  • • To educate society on how to respond to natural disasters.
  • • To organize emergency relief services for the victims of disasters.
  • • To promote the participation of children and youth in the work of YRC.

Objectives of YRC:

Who is the founder of Youth Red Cross?

Jean Henry Dunant

It was established in 1863 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Father of Red Cross movement and recipient of noble award for peace in 1901 was “Jean Henry Dunant”, who was a successful businessman.
