Secretary's Message

" Education is not a mere preparation for life but is LIFE itself"

“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?” (Mat: 6:26) These verses were true in our life and we indeed experienced the hands of God’s providence in every initiative that we took to establish this institution for which, first and foremost our hearts are elevated to sing a song of praises, glory and thanksgiving to God.

“Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action” said A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, our former President of India. This was true of the dream and vision of our Superior General Rev. Mother G. Rajamani FSAG and her team of Councilors, who translated the resolution of 30 general chapter into a reality, namely a higher education institution to function as a launching pad for empowering rural women. Words are insufficient to thank them, and expression of our gratitude lies in shaping this institution as college with potential for quality, excellence and access which means the marginalized women must be able to get quality education from our institution.

The brightest hope of success, however and our greatest encouragement is to be found in the successive batches of students; whose cheerful faces keep shining as they grow each day academically and in different skills. Their seriousness in study observance of rules and innate good manners are commendable.

I congratulate the Principal, Sr. T. Reetha Mary, Administrator and Vice Principal, Staff and Students of St. Joseph College. I am delighted to see the growth of our college in leaps and bounds.

May God continue to bless us as He has done so far for the institution, the devoted staff and the dutiful students of St. Joseph College for women, Pagalpatty.
